Cathy Rober

President & Chair

Cathy has been involved in sport her entire life. She has represented Canada at the ITU World Triathlon Championships, is a two-time Ironman, and worked for many years as a triathlon coach, primarily with blind and visually impaired triathletes. She has also been actively involved for many years in community sports, including with the North Toronto Hockey Association, and as a board member and governor with the Metro Toronto Wildcats Football Club, a competitive level football club for Toronto youth ages 7 through 19. She is also the President and co-founder of the Tyson Bailey Fund, a charitable organization that works with underprivileged and at risk Toronto youth to provide opportunities to play organized sport and to promote leadership and community involvement.  In this role, she has been involved with True Sport and been invited to speak at symposiums on “good” sport as well as at a public policy forum round table regarding Values-based sport.
